!.8 oz/yd^2 kevlar strips are tacked into position
with 3M 77. A 1.4 oz/yd^2 FG cloth is wetted out on mylar then
spread over the wing. The idea is to add the material withe just
enough epoxy to wet out the kevlar but not drip into the aileron
gaps. The torque tubes are installed and have been lubricated
with vasoline. After this cured a 3.2 satin layer was added to
smooth out the hinge without fears of sealing the ailerons since
the 1.4 cloth is now a barrier. The 3.2 will be lightly sanded
and primed. I know the surface will be slightly rough - but that
is part of the plan. I'm not completely sold that a smooth surface
is the fastest.
