Plane: Higgins' T-38 Talon

This plane requires good lift to have a lot of fun. The roll rate is quick and the speed is comparable to an F-20 @ 25oz/ft2. Long, smooth carving lines with slow rolls easily create the PSS illusion. Speed passes followed by a slow rolling climb are mesmerizing. Its a special plane that is a real pleasure to fly. It is very predictable. This is important because you can wait awhile for conditions to support this plane and the last thing you want to do is to spend half the day getting aquainted with your plane. You toss this thing out into a lot of wind, fly a couple passes, check the roll rate and you are good to go.

Its my only "pretty" plane. This is because the kit deserves the finish, and the plane fills a niche that is'nt an everyday flier. Most of the time its in the air by itself and thus should last a bit longer than the rest of my coastal planes. I like to bring it out when everyone is taking a break and will carve lines that look scale and would otherwise be rude if I was sharing the air.
